WP 4: Training
The overall goal of the P-TRAP training is to provide a platform for Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) to gain knowledge and experience in cutting-edge research on the one hand and in environmental business practices on the other hand.
WP 4 is lead by the University of Bayreuth, and has the following objectives:
i) Enable ESRs to conduct innovative scientific research by using state-of-the-art methodology and approaches
ii) to communicate their results with the scientific community
iii) to operate in different research Environments
iv) to think and act beyond disciplinary boundaries, to be aware about the societal, legislative, and economical context of their Research
v) to identify stakeholders of their research and are able to delineate research in view of their Needs
vi) ESRs are trained in the valorisation of their expertise towards the public and private sector
vii) to recognise business opportunities of finding innovative solutions to environmental challenges
To achieve the objectives, WP 4 has two tasks. Each task involves several participants and leads to distinct deliverables and milestones, which have to be reported towards the EC.
Task 1: Organise local training (all beneficiaries and partner organisations)
Organise training through personal career development plans comprising training activities provided by the host institutions with a focus on technical, scientific, and generic skills which reflect the methodological expertise of each beneficiary.
Task 2: Coordinate network-wide training (all beneficiaries and partner organisations)
Organise training focusing on transferable skills, complimentary scientific competences, activities enforcing the interdisciplinary qualification and secondments to both the non- academic and academic sector
